A couple weeks ago Jennifer and I had the privilege of shooting yet another event for the incomparable Michael J Fox Foundation. This time is was a golf tournament, and our 10th shoot for these devoted soldiers in the war on ending Parkinsons. Every event we get called into cover reminds us a little more that we are blessed and we need to be active and always fight for the things we believe in.
The setting was one of the Hamptons’ most exclusive golf clubs and the perfect location for this fundraising event, which I was told brought in over $600,000 to the Michael J Fox Parkinsons Foundation.
Me and Jen with Michael at the end of the night.
Starting of the event day was the arrival of Sam Fox (Not Michael’s Son Sam Fox) a Foundation employee who ran, (yes I said RAN) from Manhattan to Southampton for the event. The media was there as was Michael and the entire crew of the foundation. He ran 80 miles the day before the arrival, and 20 the morning of. Talk about inspirational… wow.
Sam is wearing the white sunglasses, and that’s his “support crew” He raised over $5700 in his efforts to run 100 miles in 24 hours. If you wish to contribute his sponsorship is still open and you can donate by clicking here and going to Sam’s Team Fox Page to donate.
Michael giving him a huge hug for for being so motivated and inspiring. Sidenote: Sam lost 16 lbs in the two days of the run.
Setting up for the beginning of the tournament. Michael with on of his threesome Ming Tsai in their golf cart, with me reflecting in the glass… lol (On the right is a brand new outfitted Nike Golf Bag provided to Michael by Nike and embroidered with the Fox Foundation logo)
Hopefully Jen wasn’t too distracting to the players…

No Jen didn’t get hit by any stray golf balls…
(Not gonna lie, I can watch her shoot all day)
Michael and one of the other players in the tournament, Coach Jim Calhoun Teeing off.
Never far away from some golf art.
Jen is shooting Coach Calhoun and I am shooting her. Priorities.

Sebonack is pretty perfect, and the location of next year’s 2013 U.S. Women’s Open
During the presentation, Michael is never short of inspirational words and gratitude for all that the organization does for the cause.
