Amanda and Tim | Real Wedding Story

Welcome to Amanda and Tim’s Real Wedding Story held at The Waterview in Monroe, Connecticut.  They describe their wedding day firsthand from our interview.

When was your wedding?  9/15/2012

What made you choose your wedding date?  No specific reason. We wanted it to be warm outside but not in the height of summer…September was perfect.

Wedding dress is an Allure Couture dress from Majesty Bridal in Danbury, Connecticut.  Bill Levkoff Bridesmaid dresses and Lulu Townsend shoes.

What was the total guest count? Why did you pick the number of guests you did?  Was it hard to get to that number?  Just under 150- we both have large families and groups of friends so the number was not difficult to get to.

Who was your florist?  Melissa, Stylish Blooms.

Who did your hair? Mary Coniglio, Hairport.

Who did your makeup? Stacey Palencia, Blush Couture.

What was the weather like, and was it what you hoped for? How did it impact your day?   We had the most beautiful September day you could imagine which made everything else great.

What ended up being your favorite photo? I love the photo of Daisy (our dog) and Amanda. It’s hard to pick a favorite photo of us- some of our favorites are the ones at the church in front of the old shed- never would have thought of that as a backdrop!

Where did you have your Ceremony? Congregational Church of New Fairfield, New Fairfield, Connecticut.

Besides the “getting married” part, what was the most vivid memory of your wedding day? (Bride’s perspective) Walking down the aisle to Tim, the look on his face and our first dance as husband and wife.

Besides the “getting married ” part, what was the most vivid memory of the day? (Groom’s perspective) They way Amanda looked when she was walking down the aisle and the way I felt- it was indescribeable.

What was the funniest thing that your remember happening?  We’ll always remember the limos stopping at the New Fairfield liquor store so one of the groomsmen could run in to make a purchase.

Where was the Reception held? The Waterview, Monroe, Connecticut.

What part of the day do you want to do again and why?  The whole thing! Especially dancing together happily married.

What regrets, (if any) do you have about the planning of your wedding and your decisions leading up to the day?  Nothing specific overall not worth stressing over anything.

What was the most memorable part of your photography experience with Studio1923? (From engagement all the way till now) Everything was positive- us and our families were especially impressed with how (Jerome) really dictated how the day ran, however you never knew he was there- it was great- he even bustled my dress!

What made your reception personalized to your own unique vision and expectations? I loved being able to add any type of tasteful sparkle to the cake, table, flowers, etc.

Who was the entertainment? Jimmy Dee, White Plains, New York.

Where did you get your rings? Quality Gem.

Where did you take your honeymoon? And how did you like it?  We stayed at Meads Bay Villas in Anguilla- it was absolutely the best trip, with the most beautiful beaches and nobody on them. We can’t wait to go back!
