***Updated with Their Story…***
When Jen and I heard that Heather and Matt were engaged, we were extremely excited for them. Being a close friend of Jen, Heather immediately asked her to be in the wedding, and I no doubt assumed I would take the photos! Then they said… we don’t want you to shoot it, because we want you to be a “part” of it! I was like????? I couldn’t be any bigger a part of it, by being the photographer!? So after a long battle, I was able to convince them that I would actually try to put the camera down at some point and have a beer or two, (or 6). We worked it out with Jacob and Anthony to work the event with me, and once the reception kicked in, I would step back (reluctantly) and spend some QT with my favorite dance partner! Jennifer.
So that’s what I did.
We started the morning out bright and early at Heather & Matt’s Place. Naomi and Angela performed the transformational hair and makeup for the ladies. The wedding took place at Our Lady of Lourdes in Waterbury, CT followed by the reception at Villa Rosa, also in Waterbury, CT . Anthony and Jacob headed right to Villa Rosa to capture the guests arriving while I rode with Jen and the wedding party around town shooting along the way. We stopped off at a little bar for photos, street shots, and then off to a really cool park for wedding party shots. I need to thank Anthony & Jacob for all their hard work and amazing shots. Heather and Matt are thrilled with the results of all their efforts. Here are just a few of my favorites from the day.
