Jessica and Nick got married this past spring on a gorgeous day in April. Their ceremony was at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Hamden, CT and their reception followed at Woodwinds in Branford. Here are some of their words about their day.
Q:When was your Wedding?
Q:Why did you have your wedding on that date?
A:We wanted a spring wedding and that date just worked
Q:What was the weather like?
A:It was a beautiful day! We couldn’t have asked for a better day. No spring showers thank god!
Q:Who was the florist?
A: Forget Me Not, North Haven, CT
Q:What regrets, (if any) do you have about the planning of your wedding?
A:We honestly wouldn’t have changed a thing!!! It was exactly what we wanted and more if possible
Q: What was the most memorable part of your photography experience?
A:Jerome was amazing and fun to work with…and his wonderful wife Jennifer was another bonus! They are very creative and made each meeting fun and exciting.
Q:Where did the guys get their tuxes?
Q:What characteristics of the ceremony made your event most unique to you two as a couple?
A: The ceremony was beautiful and rather than unique. I would say a more special moment was when our niece and nephew walked down the aisle as flower girl and ring bearer. Too cute!
Q: Besides the “getting married” part, what was the most vivid memory of the day? (groom’s perspective)
A:My soon to be wife walking down the aisle.
“Jerome was amazing to work with…we didn’t have a doubt in our minds after having one meeting with him that he is the one we wanted and had complete faith that every moment of our special day would be captured.”
Q: What was your favorite part about the photographs?
A: We loved the creativity of the pictures and that we didn’t do just the traditional type of poses. They were all fun and so different.
Q:What made your reception personalized to your own unique vision and expectations?
A:Just the simplicity of it. I like things simple and clean and fresh. I love everything we chose for that day.
Q:What was the total guest count? Why did you pick the number of guests you did?
A:We had 190 guests and it was hard to keep it to only 190 but as we were paying for most of the wedding we had to cut it down.
Q: Who was your coordinator or designer, (if any)?
A:Scott at Woodwinds…brilliant!!!
Jerome: So a little disclaimer on the above shot. This was COMPLETELY set up by Scott from the Woodwinds. He was SO excited to set them all up like this before they all walked in, that I just couldn’t disappoint him by not taking it. It’s quite 1989, but if anyone could make it look good; it’s your wedding party Jessica & Nick! lol
Q:What part of the day do you want to do again and why?
A:Our first dance…it was like we were in our own little world!
Q:Besides the “getting married” part, what was the most vivid memory of your wedding day? (bride’s perspective)
A:I will never forget my husbands dance with his grandmother…we both lost a parent years ago…he, his mother and me, my father. Seeing that was very emotional.
Q:Where did you get your rings?
A:Diamond District, NYC
Q:What was the funniest thing that your remember happening?
A:One of our friends doing a split about 3 ft in the air…
Q:Any advice to offer new brides and grooms to-be?
A:Pictures are the best way to capture your memories and to tell your story from beginning to end.
Q:Who was the videographer?
A:Star Quality Video, Hamden, CT
Q:Who was the entertainment?
A:DJ Andy…a friend of ours
Q:Where did you get your dress?
