When was your wedding?  5/17/2013

What made you choose your wedding date? We have always wanted a beautiful spring wedding but this wedding date was sealed by the availability of our coveted wedding photographer studio 1923.

Jillian and TomJillian and TomJillian and TomWhat was the weather like, and was it what you hoped for? How did it impact your day? The weather for our wedding day was tremendous. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. It was a mild 75 sunny day. I started the day with a run and it just kept getting better from there… It was a dream come true.

Wedding Dress by Pnina Tornai  from Kleinfled Bridal in New York City, shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti.
Grooms Attire by Vera Wang from Men’s Warehouse.

Jillian and TomJillian and TomWhat do you remember most about the ceremony? My personal favorite memory of our ceremony was my first look at Tommy. I remember gazing beyond guests and locking eyes with him. A moment I will never forget. My nerves seizing and  I just couldn’t wait to say, “I do”.

Where did you have your ceremony? Church of East Williston in New York. It is a quaint, beautiful congregation embellished with a vintage charm and beautiful wood beams. It fulfilled our vision of the place we dreamed of saying our I do’s.

Jillian and TomJillian and TomJillian and TomJillian and TomJillian and TomJillian and TomJillian and TomWhat was the total guest count? Why did you pick the number of guests you did? Was it hard to get to that number? 160. It was difficult to keep the number to that range but it meant the world to us that each and every guest was very special to us and played a role in our relationship, personal lives, and our family.

Jillian and TomJillian and TomBesides the “getting married” part, what was the most vivid memory of your wedding day? (Bride’s perspective) My most favorite moment of our day was in the 56 Cadillac from the church to the reception… Tom looked at me and said, “You are my wife.” And then kissed me… I was the happiest woman in the world.

What made your reception personalized to your own unique vision and expectations? I love DIY projects so I was able to bring a lot of sparkle and unique frames, votive holders, signs, and special touches with the help of my Mom and maid of honor. The little touches meant the most to us. Especially the memory table that held our Grandparents photos. Westbury Manor was so accommodating and receptive to all of my visions and dreams.

(From engagement all the way till now) Jerome and Jen are the most professional, relatable, fantastic, and reliable individuals I have met. Not only did they make my Groom, who happens to despise being in front of a camera, feel comfortable, but they also served as a personal Maitre de, to help my day be just perfect!

What regrets, (if any) do you have about the planning of your wedding and your decisions leading up to the day? Not even one… I would do every thing the same. BEST DAY EVER

Any advice to offer new brides and grooms to-be? Follow your heart, listen to the simple requests of your hubby to be, and enjoy each and every second… It WILL BE one of the best days of your life.

Jillian and TomJillian and TomJillian and TomJillian and TomJillian and TomWhat ended up being your favorite photo? There are just too many to pick…the candids were amazing, the artistic ability of this team is out of this world.

Besides the “getting married ” part, what was the most vivid memory of the day? (Groom’s perspective) According to Tom, he remembers dancing to Lenny Williams, “Cause I love you.”  It was just him and I on the dance floor enjoying each and every second.

Jillian and TomWhat was the funniest thing that your remember happening? Well… Lets just say who ever thought a full corset dres,s tight as anything, was conducive to a bathroom break at any point…WAS NOT THINKING STRAIGHT 🙂

What part of the day do you want to do again and why? We would love to do the cocktail hour again… We were able to enjoy all of our guests and the beautiful weather in a casual and fun way. We just were so high on cloud nine and loved every single second.

Other Comments you would like to add…. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Jerome and Jen xoxo
