Today Jen and I had the honor of showing the ins and outs of Facebook to our friends from the Connecticut Professional Photographer’s Association. Such a huge turnout could only have been accommodated in a large space such as at our corporate offices of LifeTiled.com in Yalesville. Everyone brought their laptops, logged onto the guest network, and started learning some inside tricks.
We had a gathering of about 30 people show up to hear what we had to talk about.
We taught many different aspects of the wide range of options that Facebook has to offer small businesses and in this case; photographers.
Our talk ranged from “hacking/tweaking” your Facebook profile, setting up a business fan page, filtering and setting privacy controls, categorizing friends from business contacts, sending out mass messages to lists of fans, optimizing photos for facebook, reading your fan page statistics, keeping your account safe from hackers, linking your blog directly to facebook for automatic updates, adding friends, customizing your facebook URL, pay per click advertising on facebook and setting up your account, maximizing revenue and generating business from facebook.
Yes we spent about 4 hours in this crash course.
We loved everyone’s feedback and questions. We worked through a lot of kinks and quirks in Facebook, LIVE right as we went along.
We were able to Stop Farmville and Mafiawars
And we made a bunch of new FB friends
Special thanks to the team at LifeTiled for taking these few photos, and for opening up the conference room to the CPPA!
