Makeup Artist :: DD Nickel

I recently had the chance to photograph New Haven’s own Deanna Nickel (aka D.D.) for her publicity / promotional uses.
She’s a makeup artist working out of her eclectic, vintage-inspired studio on State Street in New Haven.

Visit her website here…  http://www.ddnickel.com

You can also check out her blog “The Bridal Boudoir” where she just posted a really nice post about us and our shoot.

I learned that her mother was an antique dealer and she quickly became fond of all things vintage. It was only fitting that her studio space reflect her love for the history of beauty, but also showcase some great antique pieces in her collection of furniture and accessories.
